James Construction has been incredible to work with and was very efficient. I called with an emergency and he shifted his schedule to make our roof a priority. We were hoping for a repair and after further review realized it was unrepairable with the help and pictures from Todd. I used Todd James Construction to reroof my home and two outbuildings after high winds last year caused multiple shingles to blow off. Todd was very professional and easy to reach. He actually helped coach me on what my insurance company would find and how they would handle the claim as he used to work for an insurance company so knew what they looked for. When the weather got warm enough to do the work, he personally came out with his crew and supervised and also installed our skylight himself! His crew was very efficient and did a great job cleaning up after themselves. It was so nice having a local contractor who showed up and stands by his work. I first met Todd James when our next-door neighbors were getting a new roof. I was outside when he came over to tell me that he would make sure that any material that would land in my yard, he would pick up. There was nothing to be picked up. The workers themselves were conscious of their work. They tore down and rebuilt the roof so thoroughly and quickly. Our home was going to make a few changes such as painting the exterior. The painters had said that they would need to replace the gutters, especially with the change of colors. I then asked Todd to give me an estimate of what it would cost for just gutters. I was very impressed with his sincere interest to be of help.
He inspected the roof for possible hail damage at no charge or expectation of me contracting him to do any work. He took many pictures to show me where the damage was, and I knew the storm that did the damage. I contacted my insurance company and with Todd’s thorough report, I received notice I would be covered for a new roof. The gutters were not covered under insurance, we had gutter guards that protected them from damage. With the change of the house colors and the damage to the roof we went ahead with the new roof, and we would pay for the gutters. We also paid for the increased cost of a specialized gutter rather than the standard colors.
The work was scheduled soon after my meeting with Todd James (about a month). Again, I was very impressed with the workers and their care of tear down, disposal and new install. The roof looks beautiful and helps to complete our transition from the old colors of our home to a new color scheme. I highly recommend Todd James and his company, James Construction Company. They are polite, thorough, and trustworthy. Todd walked me through the process, from evaluation, submitting the work, supervising each day, and at the end verifying with me-that I was satisfied. He would correct any problem if needed. I even received a handwritten thank you note.
